Inn í tómið ég stari
Himnar af svörtu
ófyrirgefandi
og breiðir.
Þeir neita mér um frest minna daga
Hinn mikli aðallykill
bræddur í hendi moldar og sjós.
Blæðir á hendur þeirra sem sjá
sannleika, falinn milli beina og holds
neðan endurskins af blóði svo fersku
innan veggja hugans, lykillinn opnar eina hliðið.
Greiptur í örlög, þú sérð ei meir fyrr en of seint
Brjótandi baug hins deyjandi huga
Blik af kerti við eldstól
kastar skugga af eyðilagðri veru
andardráttur svo hægur
augun spýta eldi sínum til einskis
Þegar nærri, þá sést veran í réttu formi
Formi hins sama og af reyk
Undirmeðvitund bælir orðin sem í lokin
tilheyra líkama og sál, að eilífu bundin
þar sem lifir ekkert ljós, legg niður þinn líkama
Þín gröf verður þessi jörð
Þín gröf verður þessi jörð

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
Jordan Vauvert
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024
The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel. Metallurgical Fire
